Gazing Over The Mother City

A quick snap on the way down Lion's Head at sunset this weekend. It's such an incredible view from up there. You literally get a full panoramic view of Cape Town city. Just another reason why I love this city.

Cape Town In Flames

Since moving to Cape Town at the end of January it has been very tempting to share pictures of Table Mountain. On the worst of days this oversized rock outcrop is still able to produce beauty, but I decided to hold back in hope of something special. Two evenings ago the mountain came alive, and I was lucky enough to be there for that magic moment.

Surfing 'til the Sunset

This was a beautiful evening watching the kite and wind surfers against such a stunning backdrop. I really don't know how these guys survive in the icy Atlantic water.

Photo into Painting

From time to time I enjoy making these cool artworks out of my photos. I do this using Topaz Simplify, that allows me to makes these cool pastel looking photos, or even convert them into cartoons. I've been thinking of a possible project I could do with this. I think that'll be pretty rad. For the moment this is one of my favourite.

On my recent trip to Howick to celebrate my grandparents 60th anniversary I spent an evening at Midmar Dam. I was very lucky on this particular evening to have such splendid clouds. It was a gloomy evening, but there was just enough sunlight to accentuate the redness of the clay on the shoreline.
