Simon's Town Lights Come Alive

From this fantastic vantage point the lights of Simon's Town come alive under a beautiful setting sky. Thank you Konrad Clifton for showing me this great spot.

An Easy Shot

In order to get a great photo sometimes you have to walk tens of kilometres, sometimes through rocky terrain, harsh weather, and many other strenuous activities. But every so often you get lucky, and don't have to do that at all.

When staying in Simon's Town this past April I wondered out of bed one morning and down to the lounge balcony. Awaiting me was this beautiful scene on False Bay. Enough said!

The hardest part was getting out of bed ;)

Weekly Photo: Gentle Morning Tide

I found this little gem literally two minutes from where I was staying in Cape Town this past holiday. I was down there about 30 minutes before sunrise, and I was actually hoping for the tide to be much higher than it was. I had envisaged large waves crashing into the rocks creating a nice dramatic shot. Unfortunately it wasn't to be, so I wondered around looking for something else to take. This is when I came across this beautiful frame with a nice leading line of water rushing through a crack, beautiful textured rocks jutting out, and a soft misty background. Needless to say I'm quite pleased with the result.

Let me know what you think...
