The amount of colour in Jodhpur is something quite spectacular. Among all the beautiful blue houses (that give it the nickname of the 'blue city') there are also the contrasting browns provided by the surrounding hills and of course the massive Mehrangarh Fort. Lastly, the striking colours of the wildlife, like the lovely parrot, add the finishing touches to this amazing city.

Patience Makes Perfect
These waters birds have so much patience. They'll stand in one position, not moving an inch, for what seems like an eternity as they wait for a fish to cross their path. This particular bird is a grey heron.
When these birds stand on one leg like this it always reminds me of the joke; why did the heron stand on one leg? ... Because if he stood on none he'd fall over!!!
Yes I know... it's a terribly lame joke.
